Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941, at Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13, Richard moved his family across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper in the state of Casper where his father was the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
