Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous for her naive roles that are engaging and relatable. Adams was born and raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest child of seven. Her father served in U.S. service in Italy. In the late 1990s, she began professional dance and acting in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota where she was a part of a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. Her move from Minnesota to Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with a good-natured but snarky contestant. Between June 1951 and September 22, 1962 she was engaged to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. The actor Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and began her career in film in the 1940s. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular movies in the subsequent decade such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
