Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling prior to making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. Following that, she travelled to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia dominated Aspen to defeat her in an unanimous decision. This put the mark of a loss on Aspen's records for amateur. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015after signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta 16, she was able to rise into the Bantamweight division after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized the skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. She won her bout via an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen then went on to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, but Aspen won and beat Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round later in the 2nd. Ladd remained in the lead and picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd defeated Evinger by a punch in the initial round, and earned a Performance of the Night bonus. She fought her first big fight in The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and each fighter receiving their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her winning streak. In the third round of UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. The fight ended in an majority decision.
