Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling prior to making her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to continue building upon her victory at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She defeated all her opponents in the first round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and beat her in a unanimous decision to put an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd rebounded from her loss in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey as a pro. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the one round with a TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen go from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior abilities she acquired in wrestling to defeat McGill. She won her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round with a TKO. Her final fight with the promotion, she fought Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina as she ground-and-pound pounded her for the TKO victory in the second round. When she next faced Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd defeated Evinger by a punch in the opening round, she was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. The two fighters each received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and stop Ladd and her streak. After a break of a few seconds, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She was beaten by a unanimous vote.
