Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the age of 14. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling prior to making her first amateur appearance at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and then went on to a three-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in each fight. Then she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd won her next fight in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in the year 2015, when she signed with Invicta FC. Invicta fight Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via first-round TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to take out McGill by TKO in the third round (elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at weight of catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd had missed weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. She finished her via TKO in the second-round. Invicta FC21 was her final bout in the organization. The winner was Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina with a pound and grind to her before prevailing by TKO in second round. She repeated her dominance and racked up an amazing victory in her subsequent bout against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229. Ladd was able to defeat Evinger within the first minute and was awarded a prize for the performance of the night. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's debut major fight. Ladd's victory was a unanimous decision as well as the Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd after 16 seconds and ended her streak to win. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, was defeated by Randamie. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. It was a unanimous decision against her.
